clearing the backlog of notes is difficult

Having backlogs appears to significantly reduce note quality and the ability to remember the "truly good details". This batch-based note taking is something that unfortunately will occur during busy times and "writing slumps".

In the future there will be a more concerted effort toward higher quality writeups.
