Exam guide and overview

The exam is split into 5 different, weighted knowledge domains.

• Domain 1: Deployment - 22%
• Domain 2: Security - 26%
• Domain 3: Development with AWS Services - 30%
• Domain 4: Refactoring - 10%
• Domain 5: Monitoring and Troubleshooting - 12%

Prerequisites

• Knowledge of at least 1 programming language
• Understanding of application lifecycle management
• Write code for serverless apps
• Some (~1 yr.) of AWS experience

Exam question structure

Typically questions are scenario or deployment scenario based and will ask questions based on how to resolve issues.

• 130 min in length
• 65 questions
• Passing is 720/1000 with results immediately
• Multiple choice - select 1 correct
• Multiple response - select multiple
